It's definitely not a fully comprehensive basket of everything that a guest could need- but it's a great stash of extra toiletries to have so that I'm not shuttling shampoo back and forth between the master bathroom and the guest bathroom, or asking them if they mind using the Sponge Bob bubble bath as their soap because I have nothing extra to share. Especially when out of town guests are flying, it's so nice to have extras of these things since it's so hard to bring toiletries on an airplane these days.
In addition to toiletries, I wanted to have a set of towels and washcloths that were especially for guests because even though I know they are clean, I always feel bad giving a guest a hand towel or washcloth that looks "old" as most of ours were starting to.
So- now our bathroom is guest ready at a moment's notice...well, as long as I have enough notice to do a quick counter top wipe down first! I just need to hide all of this stuff now so I still have it around the next time we have guests!

ReplyDeleteI always save unused toiletries from hotels I stay at, and I have a huge stash that I pull out for guests if they forget anything... I like the idea of having special guest towels. I might need to get some...
ReplyDeleteThank you! This is such a nice idea. I like to add a little basket to the guest bedroom too. I include some chocolate, mints, tissues, advil & bottled water. My guests always appreciate these little extra's. :)
