I love jewelry. I've never really had a lot of extra jewelry, but I wear 4 rings, 4 earring, a bracelet and a necklace almost everywhere that I go. It kind of sounds excessive now that I type it out- but that's just me- I feel naked without my jewelry.
Lately I have found myself gravitating towards accessories to dress up my outfit rather than actually wearing something dressy, and as time goes on, I've started to accumulate more jewelry than I am capable of wearing at one time.
I did an esty roundup of jewelry storage solutions awhile ago- and had every intention of finding my crafty side and making myself something like the photo frame/earring holder shown above to hang some of my spare jewelry my from.
But, you know me, always looking for the FREE solution first, and I noticed this candle holder over in the corner. I've had it for years and never really paid attention to it- but suddenly it was screaming jewelry tree. It took me several minutes to bend some of the wires in a way that would catch the jewelry more effectively, but once I was done, I felt like it was meant to be.
In addition to keeping my dresser top much more organized, I've found that I will change up my jewelry much more often now that it's all out on display. The tiny little cup in the middle meant to hold a candle works just great for holding a few extra rings that I don't wear every day.
So after I did this, the next day I saw something for sale at CVS that looked almost exactly like this- in a box labeled "Jewelry Tree." For a minute, it had me questioning whether I'd been using my "Candle Holder" incorrectly for all of these years...but the box is long gone, so I guess I'll never know!
